Colin is the CEO of Kazibora Group. Colin previously worked for the Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda’s national destination marketing agency, as the Head of Product Development and Investments. During his (3) year tenure at Uganda Tourism Board, he was also tasked to serve as the Project Lead/Manager for the $1.5million World Bank funded Public Relations and Marketing Project, in which the Government of Uganda hired (3) Destination Marketing Agencies in the (3) key tourism source markets, with representation in North America (PHG Consulting), UK/Ireland (Kamageo) and German-speaking Europe- Germany, Austria and Switzerland (KPRN). This (1) year project successfully increased tourist arrivals from the key source markets of North America, U.K/Ireland and German-speaking Europe by 18%, 10%, and 16%, respectively.
Prior to joining Uganda Tourism Board, Colin worked as a Hospitality and Tourism consultant on several projects in Rwanda and Burundi, with clients like Serena Hotels and Resorts, Rwanda Development Board, Rwandair, Roca Golf Resort (Burundi), GT Bank (Rwanda), Doyelcy Group (Rwanda) and several other renowned service establishments.
Colin lived, studied and worked in the United States for over 20+ years. After beginning his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in (Los Angeles, California), Colin progressed to hone his hospitality and tourism skills in a diverse range of areas including Income Audit, Finance, Sales and Operations, and Marketing.
Colin’s core strength lies in the ability to combine financial experience with operational expertise. His personal ethos is People are the most critical part of the Service Equation. A passionate Tourism and Hospitality marketing specialist, he champions the need for serving with excellence.
Colin spent most of his global work experience at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for 10 years, where he managed a range of assignments in Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing.
He is married with one daughter, loves travelling, exploring new horizons and working with diverse cultures and people who support the exponential growth within the hospitality and tourism industry in Africa. Colin attended: Westmont College, Santa Barbara (Economics) and UCLA (Advanced Hospitality Management Certificate.)
